1935 Print Kiln Rittase Shale Limestone Steel International Cement Industry FZ2 HNM1 ZZ9C65 zz10000This is an original 1935 halftone print of a steel cylinder kiln, which would cook shale and limestone at 2,800 degrees Fahrenheit, and was the largest piece of equipment used in the industry. The kiln was used at the International Cement Corporation. Photography by William M. Rittase (1894 1968). He was an American photographer active from the 1920s to the 1930s. He is best known for his industrial photography and portraits often used in Fortune
