The palate (again) is a little muted at first but it soon found its voice and evolved very fine tannin allied with a crisp line of acidity

It is certainly very well balanced with graphite-tinged black fruit

Palate: Sandalwood

this 1982 does not appear to have changed much in the last 10-12 years

Similarly the palate is very concentrated but just lacking a little character and again, just a little over oaked. A delicious wine, quite gamey, but not as enchanting as the Tourtine.
