Originally designed by architect Franois Blondel, it was built for Louis XIV in honor of some of his military victories. Abel George Warshawsky (1883 1962) was an American expatriate from Cleveland, Ohio, who lived in Paris before Word War I. He was noted for his interesting take on Realism and
