Zilveren mes met banddecor, M. Boldijn, Amsterdam, 1748 Messenmakers uit Gouda Weight: 61018th century silver knife handle with a steel blade. Crowned with a dog as a sign of loyalty. Attributed to the master blacksmith Michiel Boldijn, who worked in Amsterdam from 1721 to 1770. The Boldijn family also called themselves Bolt and Bolten. The knife handle is hallmarked with the Amsterdam city hallmark and bears the heart with two arrows as the maker's mark. It is also hallmarked with the date letter O for 1748. The silver knife handle has a
