He was active from 1728 to 1769. The miniature is hallmarked with the Amsterdam city mark, the year letter M for 1746, and the maker's mark "hoorn" (horn). It also bears the "bijltje" (axe) hallmark. This is a small masterpiece, as the stone can actually turn when the pedal is moved. The miniature is in excellent condition. Weight: 41. 5 grams.
