Zilveren brandewijnkom, Bolsward / Sneek, ca. 1740 Crisford & Norris 19th Century Bible from theFrisian silver 8 lobed brandy bowl with handles decorated with putti. Made by the silversmith Arjen Pieter Altena (Voet 528) from Franeker. Active from 1697 to 1725. This silversmith was also receiver of estate goods and citizen lieutenant. Not many silver items from his hand have been preserved. This brandy bowl is of museum quality and in excellent condition. Hallmarked with master hallmark AA, date letter V for 1714 and provincial hallmark.
