Isabel Nogués

She studied Biochemistry at the University of Zaragoza, where she also obtained her PhD in the same specialty. She currently works as a principal investigator at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Rome, Italy. For many years she has devoted herself to the study of the relationships between plants and the environment in the context of climate change (defense mechanisms and adaptation of plants to different environmental stresses). Currently she has also begun to work on the recovery of degraded and contaminated soils through nature-based solutions (Nature Based Solutions) that involve the use of plants. Isabel is co-founder and current president of the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Italian Republic.
