RAICEX has compiled and compared the working conditions of women researchers in science and academia across 14 countries, including nine in Europe, two in the Americas, two in Asia, and one in Oceania (Australia).
Presented in Madrid by RAICEX’s Research and Gender Commission (IgR), the White Paper analyzes gender equality policies, highlighting progress in female participation while addressing persistent barriers such as the “glass ceiling” and biases in selection and promotion processes.
The document outlines key recommendations, including effective equality laws, policy monitoring, fair selection processes, mentorship programs, and support for work-life balance.
Experts discussed these challenges during the presentation, emphasizing the role of civil society in driving meaningful change in the scientific field.
RAICEX encourages all researchers to download and read the White Paper.
