Alba Gómez

Graduated in Geology, holding a Master’s degree in Geology and Environmental Management of Mineral Resources. She holds a double PhD in Geohydrology from the University of the Free State (South Africa) and in Industrial and Environmental Science and Technology from the University of Huelva. She currently works as a senior lecturer in environmental geochemistry in South Africa, where she is implementing a stable isotope laboratory. Her research focuses on geochemistry and geomicrobiology applied to the prevention, characterization and remediation of environments impacted by mining. Alba is a founding member and current Secretary General of the Association of Spanish Scientists in Southern Africa (ACESDA).
