Mónica Vara Pérez

Biotechnologist by the University of Salamanca, Master in Molecular Medicine by Erasmus University (Netherlands) and PhD in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in cancer from KULeuven (Belgium). As a postdoctoral researcher at VIB-VUB (Belgium), she studies changes in the immune compartment of the brain in deleterious conditions, such as stress or cancer. Since 2022, she is the president of the Association of Spanish Scientists in Belgium (CEBE).
